Your Religion 4

Only God can make us perfect.

How can God make us perfect?

How can You be Right in God's Eyes?

Only God is Perfect.

He is the Rock, His works are perfect, and all His ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is He. Duet 32:4

"As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. 2 Sam 22:31; Ps 18:30

Do you know how the clouds hang poised, those wonders of Him who is perfect in knowledge? Job 37:16

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matt 5:48 (See how to do this below.)

The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. Ps 19:7

From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth. Ps 50:2

To all perfection I see a limit; but your commands are boundless. Ps 119:96

O LORD , you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness You have done marvelous things, things planned long ago. Isa 25:1

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, Who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17

Only God can make us perfect.

It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. 2Sam 22:33; Ps 18:32

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Isa 26:3

And your fame spread among the nations on account of your beauty, because the splendor I had given you made your beauty perfect, declares the Sovereign LORD . Ez 16:14

How can God make us perfect?

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matt 5:48

To be perfect, you must be without blemish or stain on your heart. Sin, broken commandments, wrong doing, thinking, attitudes and words all make a person's heart dirty and unacceptable to the Holy and True God. You must be in a right relationship with the Living Almighty God, and you must be right in His eyes, this is perfection to God. No one can do this on their own. God's Word says, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, " Romans 3:23

So we must trust God to make us perfect. God can only make us perfect, or righteous, by His only begotten Son's death on the cross. Only Jesus Christ can give us His Righteousness. Show me how.

After we have Jesus Christ's righteousness, we must continue to live in the Lord and trust Him to perfect our faith.

God's Word says - because by one sacrifice He (Jesus Christ) has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him. Heb 10:14; 11:40; 12:2; 5:9

Obedience to God's Word makes us perfect.

But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it–he will be blessed in what he does. James 1:25

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Phil 3:12

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will. Rom 12:2

Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." Mt 19:21 That means value nothing more than your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My Power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 2Cor 12:9 Acknowledge what God has done for you and through you…. Surrender your will's control and be pliable and malleable in God's Hand so you can see what He can do when you let Him take the reins!!

We are glad whenever we are weak but you are strong; and our prayer is for your perfection. Finally, brothers, goodby. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. 2Cor 13:9,11 Perfection is not by your works of the law, but by living by faith with the Lord God Almighty in relationship with Him, through His Holy Spirit and Power.

We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. Col 1:28

In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. Heb 2:10

We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check. James 3:2

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 1Jn 4:18 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 1Jn 4:8,16

How can You be Right in God's Eyes?

How can you be right, or perfect, in God's eyes? First you must desire to be perfect in God's eyes, to hunger and thirst for His Righteousness.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Matt 5:6

How do you gain righteousness? Righteousness comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. Rom 3:21,22

It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, Who has become for us wisdom from God–that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 1Cor 1:30

Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. God made Him who had no sin to be sin offering for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. Rom 10:4; 2Cor 5:21

Speaking of Jesus Christ - He himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed. 1Pet 2:24

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ. Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. … so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom 5:17-21

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1Jn 1:9

But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. Rom 8:10

How does Christ get in you? You must be born again and filled with the Holy Spirit.

In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. " "How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"

Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven--the Son of Man. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God." John 3:3-21

All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues , or languages, as the Spirit enabled them. Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord–Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here–has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit." Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. . Acts 2:4; 9:17; Eph 5:18

Will you come to the Light of God? Will you ask the Lord Jesus Christ to apply His death on the cross as punishment for your sins? Will you ask God Almighty to forgive you and fill you with His Holy Spirit?

Yes, bring me to prayer.

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith." Rom 1:16,17

What does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness." Rom 4:3;Gen. 15:6;

However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness. David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: "Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him." Psalm 32:1,2; Rom 4:5-8

And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness," and he was called God's friend. James 2:23;Gen. 15:6

All Scripture is Godbreathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 2Tim 3:16

Only God can make us perfect.  Perfect is Righteousness to God. Righteousness is being in the right in God's eyes, and in the right relationship with the Living Almighty God.
