The Holy Spirit in the Believer

When you receive Jesus Christ as you personal Savior, and chose to make Him Lord of your life, you are given the free gift to the Holy Spirit.  All those items on The Holy Spirit page are for you!!  However, here are more gifts for you, as well!!

The Fullness of the Holy Spirit in you:    After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken.  and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the Word of God  boldly.  Acts 4:31    The entire Book of Acts shows more about the Holy Spirit for the ones who trust Jesus Christ.

Fruit of the Holy Spirit

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  Against such things there is no law.  Galatians 5:22,23

Love: Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails...And now these three remain: faith hope and love.  But the greatest of these is love.  1 Corinthians 13:4-8,13

Joy:    May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Romans 15:13      Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy... 1Peter 1:8

Peace:        Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our lord Jesus Christ... Romans 5:1        And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:7    Also, John 14:27; Ephesians 2:14-18; 2 Timothy 2:22

Patience:      being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience and joyfully... Colossians 1:11            But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on Him and receive eternal life.  1Timothy 1:16

Kindness:       Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses;...in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love... 2Corinthians 6:4,6            But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy.  He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal of the Holy Spirit... Titus 3:4,5         And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.  Ephesians 2:6

Goodness:        Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6        For you were once in darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.  Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)... Ephesians 5:8,9        His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and godliness... For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge...  2Peter 1:3,5

Faithfulness:        God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.  1Corinthians 1:9        So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.  1Peter 4:19    Also, 1Corinthians 10:13

Gentleness:       By the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I appeal to you... 2Corinthians 10:1       Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near. Philippians 4:5         But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord.  Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.  But do this with gentleness and respect.. 1Peter 3:15

Self-Control:        So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled...But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love s a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.  1Thessalonians 5:6,8        For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.  It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age... Titus 2:11,12    Also, 2Timothy 1:7

Gifts of the Holy Spirit

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.  If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith.  If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.    Romans 12:6-8

Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant...There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit....Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.  To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge....to another faith...to another gifts of healing, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.  All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and He gives them to each one, just as He determines.  1Corinthians 12:7-11

Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.  And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having the gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different languages.  2Corinthians 12:27,28

It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.  Ephesians 4:11-13; Ephesians 3:16-21

Pouring out of the Holy Spirit Prophesized

The Lord your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live.  The Lord your God will put curses on your enemies who hate and persecute you.  You will again obey the Lord and follow all his commands I am giving you today.  Then the Lord you God will make you most prosperous in all... Deuteronomy 30:6-9

And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.  Your sons and daughter will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.  Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.  Joel 2:28,29

"For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will our out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessings on your descendants...."  Isaiah 44:3

Are you thirsty ground?  Are you dried up trying to accomplish good things that never seem to turn out well?  Then the Lord is calling you to Himself.  Won't you accept His Love and relationship now?  Bring me to Prayer.

Jesus said, "He is not the God of the dead but of the living."    Matt 22:32, Mark 12:27, Luke 20:38

"I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean;  I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.  I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.  And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws....you will be my people, and I will be your God.  I will save you from all your uncleanness....I will put my Spirit in you and you will live."  Ezekiel 36:25-29, 37:14

Would you like the Lord God to do that for you?  He is offering this freely out of His Love for you.  He sees your sadness, and all of your circumstances, and He is reaching out His hand for you.   It only take a small but sincere Prayer to God.

See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction...Now choose life...

Bring me to Who is God or The Holy Spirit  or Tithing
